Anadolu Efes Istanbul beats Real Madrid (58-57) to win their 2nd EuroLeague title in the row

After winning on the buzzer against Olympiacos (74-77) with an amazing shot by Vasilije Micic’s during the semi-final, Anadolu Efes stuns the favorite Real Madrid to win their second Euroleague in the row! One year after winning against FC Barcelona, tonight in Belgrade, the Real Madrid couldn’t beat the heart of the champion.

Vasilije Micic (23 points), elected MVP of the final four, carries Anadolu for the win. He was supported in the scoring by the German center Tibor Pleiss (19 points and 7 rebounds) that made one of the best game of his life. The American-Turkish Shane Larkin that is here since 2018 made it trough 3 finals in four years and tonight he said that Anadolu Efes Istanbul in now a club in the Euroleague hall of fame “Here we are again, back-to-back. One of the best teams ever”. Vasilje Micic was in line with his teammate after the game: “Four incredible years together, two titles. The results of the team are more important. I think everyone knows that tonight will be very very hot in all Belgrade. I will take my whole team with me and celebrate like never before.” Sounds like it is gonna be a celebration night in the Serbian capital tonight!
